When you look at the dollars and cents of it you wonder why the FC guys even bother. If you could get a job for 800 a month for a year surely you're not going to go for the 4 month deal? If the economy offered better jobs we'd be short of cricketers methinks.

Maunze and Tsiga looked pretty decent.
I think there were 3 scores in the 90's and one in the 80's. That's 4 guys unable to convert, that's a case of the big time yips and that's no coincidence. If you're not used to scoring hundreds it's damned hard to make that last 15 runs, especially in red ball where you've got unlimited time to work out how to tick them off.
It didn't look like the pitch was doing too much, maybe holding up a bit, buy not much sideways movement, hard to tell from a livestream, but they're going to have to prepare an actual road for the next game to get it to 4 days.
And they must prepare a road, let's get the next game to 5 days, so we can see some batsmen make big scores.
Ervine and Raza will get hundreds next game if they lay a good deck. They're next level to what I'm seeing.

Are we likely to see any of the recently graduated under 19's incorporated into the FC system next season?
If Madande is there and scoring runs, surely there are places for Falao, Bawa and Welch Jnr.
Would love to see Schonken there too

Just been told the Bennett's will be playing for Rangers in Vigne 2nd division in the next few weeks. Maybe a few others from the u19's.

I think there's 8 "clubs" in each division. Once again I'm on my soap box- to restore a working club structure a "club" needs a home ground with a clubhouse, nets, etc etc. They need to be entirely independent of ZC. I don't know how this is achievable these days though.
Until this is implemented and there's buy-in to club maintenance, loyalty etc you can just create a "club" on paper in 5 seconds and just as easily dissolve it.
We don't have 8 club grounds but we need them. Then theoretically the Div 2 should be the second teams of these clubs, unless there's more than 8 real clubs of course!
Uhuru in Div 2 is actually Takashinga 3, why don't they call it what it is?
Rangers could get a real quality side together that would be competing for the top 3 spots in Div 1 and they are one of about 3 teams that actually have a ground. Why are they being made to waste a year in Div 2? Takashinga 3 could of course beat them and get promoted. Then you'd have 3 Takashinga sides in Div 1 out of 8. Would they then include a 4th side in Div 2 that may win the following year and then you'd have 4 of the 8 sides in Div 1 being Takashinga.
Taken to its logical conclusion we may end up with 8 Takashinga sides in Div 1 and 8 in Div 2
Then they have bragging rights as the most successful club in the history of the universe. Then Mr Bvute could take over all the abandoned clubs and build business parks.

The problem is getting good players to play in Div 2. If Rangers get promotion there will be a flood of good players abandoning the paper clubs and wanting to be part of something real. The rest will believe that unless they're part of the Takashinga empire they won't get selected for NPL and franchise.

Rangers have a ground ffs. They should have direct entry to Div 1 and be asked to field a Div 2 team. It's just logic unless there's another agenda.

Who are White Rhinos? That's an inflammatory non PC name right there  Call them the Zebras or Zonkeys or something

White rhinos are the army club aren’t they? Or they used to be at least. Doubt they have much connection anymore. Is Manyame just a paper club now as well or do they still have links to the air base? At least they still have their ground!

Also there’s a whopping 11 teams in div 2. 19 teams across two divisions. Unsustainable with the lack of grounds

It's all better than nothing, but I don't see 11 Div 2 sides playing all their games or even in some instances managing to raise a team. They can't be played on the same days as Div 1 as there aren't enough grounds so you're going to have players bouncing between Divisions and Clubs.
We are definitely going to end up with Takashinga 3 winning that Div 2 and being promoted to Div1 and having 3 Taka's sides in the same competition. I just don't see how that's good for cricket. Why don't they just have their own internal league and be done with it? They don't need anyone else. It's hard to fathom this narrow minded way of thinking.

I wasn't even aware that Manyame Air base had a ground?
I'll be massively surprised if it's functional.
I see the Bindura ground looks very presentable, someone has put in a lot of work there. It would be good if they had water so it stays green during winter. Don't they have enuf players to form a club and join this Club comp? Problem is transport for players to Bindura to play them.

Then what happens when NPL starts? Will it run at the same time as Vigne Cup? All the better players will be in the NPL, so who's left for Vigne? Then there's definitely no-one left for Div 2 unless we can shake out some Grannies and Grandpas.
That Div 2 would be quite a useful place for some of the lady players to have a go. Are there any club games for them? I don't even know.
