The more people want to see Evans get a fair crack of the whip the more determined the selectors seem to be to keep him out of it  Its quite strange, the ZC guys don't see the potential others see in him.
Reggie will retain his spot despite poor form.
The Don can bat so I don't see him going anywhere. They should try him higher up the order
Kaia looked like he did his job.
I'd like to have seen Shumba get a couple of overs.

Not much I can add except we are not a great team. Short of quality bowlers and batsmen and in dire need of a world class spinner. Same old.

Innocent Kaia batted very slowly

fair enough he is a debutant and probably had instructions to hold innings together but i do not want to see a strike rate of 50 again from him next match

Did you see him bowl? Makes this Omazai fella look like Starc.
Yeah but Jongwe's bowling is equal in quality on top of being a poorer batter. Jongwe is not even half as good as Elton in terms of a seam bowling allrounder.

The year is 2022, not 2017. You are more clueless than I thought if you think Tiripano 2022 is good enough to even be in a Vigne Cup team as a bowler, let alone an international team

He's been great over the years and I used to be a huge fan but come on, there are probably two dozen more threatening bowlers than him in Zimbabwe nowadays.

If his batting is so good then he needs to be batting much higher than number 8. But a career average of 17 suggests he's not good enough to do that either.

Oh and Jongwe has a better ODI bowling record than Tiripano even in his heyday
Kriterion is not with it at all. Still reeling from hotly defending the covid scam.

A 50% strike rate in a weak team is fine if you can change gear, but still acceptable if you see off the first 15 overs.
Same story with our lads struggling to rotate strike with low risk shots. Everyone shouts about it but it's not easy.

Tough one. We bounce back next game!
We're not bouncing anywhere, bud. I think it's going to get tougher, not easier.

He looked pretty good to be honest. That sort of strike rate is fine as long as you stay in and start accumulating. Their two guys had similar strike rates at one point but they stayed in and accelerated.

Chakabva is apparently playing through a lot of pain and clearly struggling since his injury. But the only alternative is Madande and I don’t think we should be feeding him to the wolves.

Rashid and Nabi bowled beautifully, I don’t know what the answer to that is.

Wellington and Williams leave such big holes in our eleven :(

If you take the 100 runs out of our score that our two senior players contributed the rest put up 100 runs between them against not the best side Afghanistan can put out.

Actually a shout out to Kaia, that was a fine start for him.

Would be interesting who he'd replace. It would be out of Shumba and Burl. They didn't bowl Shumba so in theory it would be him, but that's not how it works. If Myers bowled then you could look at Tiripano.
