That would be a stumbling block for sure because he will be on good money there. The fact is he realistically still could get an England call up. He needs a great run of form when the top 3 are blowing it. That stuff happens regularly. Those England selections are also political, so that bird may have flown. They stuck with Pope when they probably shouldn't have and he's just had a very timeous hundred. He's a top player though, was going too hard at the ball, but seems to have sorted that out.

How much are the top senior Zim guys earning? If Taylor's old salary is more than what Ballance is currently making, that would increase the likelihood of him coming over. And he already has property in Zimbabwe
Reading that article, I sense Gary is still annoyed, and that the ECB might terminate him still.
It would be interesting to know when his deal expires.
I am certain though that he will get a monster offer to play for Zim. There’s no chance of that being wrong, although he may decline it, I foresee a long term National contract that eclipses his Yorkshire deal.

Largely they stick to their own and look down on others. There’s no chance they will have any sort of admiration for Zimbabwe. They would see the population as low IQ bushmen. Guarantee it.
They generally only play soccer, tennis and basketball over here. Tbh we barely have any South Asian cricketers in the first place so how are we gonna have Chinese or Viets lol
