In my view any one of Chakabva, Ervine, Shumba and Madhevere are very replaceable in T20, they've been so inconsistent. Unless you're a banger, like my new hero Stubbs, you have to think in T20 and be able to adapt and adjust in order to be vaguely consistent and to go at a good strike rate. Chakabva and Ervine can both get really bogged down by tight bowling up front and its a worry. You just have to free your mind and go at at least one ball an over. Ervine has a bad habit of going boundary single regardless of the quality of that single delivery. I'm not suggesting Tari is going to open

I watched him open in a 50 over game with Byrom a few years ago and he played way better than Ed. I dont think that would happen now, but Tari has lots of potential.
It would seem Marumani is not doing that well in the practices if he's not being selected. He hits it clean and hard so his non selection has been odd. I'd like to think ZC aren't going to meddle in selections for a little while.
Hong Kong played Kent Seconds yesterday in a 50 over. Kent posted 390 and rolled HK for 140. In this RL 50 over comp, weather permitting, there are going to be plenty games where sides will post close to 400. There are some spooky batsmen coming through the English system. Scores of over 300 are becoming the order of the day. We have a lot of work to do to get to that level.
