Batting second, we've chased 290 and 303 against Bangladesh weeks ago, it's not out of the question at all

Hm. So now the Zimbabwean pace quartet will probably be Muzarabni, Chatara, Evans and Ngarava? Not bad tbh. Jongwe looks to be out of a spot. Ditto Wellington

Brad Evans has been simply brilliant.
A long career awaits for him. Hope he doesnt go the county route. People will sit up and take notice after a 5fer against india.

This is a very decent bowling performance by Zimbabwe. They should be very pleased with this effort.
With the wicket expected to flatten out, This is a realistic chance of pushing for a win. Can the Zimbabwe top order perform for once?

I have actually been thinking who doesn't go to Australia if Blessing is fit.slcricfan1 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 22, 2022 10:55 amHm. So now the Zimbabwean pace quartet will probably be Muzarabni, Chatara, Evans and Ngarava? Not bad tbh. Jongwe looks to be out of a spot. Ditto Wellington

Blessing is likely to miss first ODI in Australia
This according to Houghton interview.
They hope he can play 2nd and 3rd.
Nice problem to have. I would see what chivanga is like on the fast bouncy wickets out there. He may suprise a few people. He certainly suprised Dhawan

I think Chivanga has a lot of potential. He definitely has pace (although I remember him bowling slower in his debut series), and hits the pitch hard to get extra bounce off the surface. He tends to bowl at least one boundary ball per over though. If he cuts down on that, he can be a very decent bowler.

Haven't followed any of this series unfortunately, but great to see a 5-for!
Evans's 5-for is the first for Zim in ODIs after Muzarabani's stunning 49-5 vs Pak in Pak. So, the last two 5-fors against Pak and Ind. That's something
.
But the alarming part is - we have only had 7 5-fors in last 10 years! Tiripano, Utseya, Jongwe, Muzarabani, Evans, Cremer X 2.

But then again, we have only ever had 21 5-fors in the history of our ODIs. So, something to savour for sure!
