Just had a look at the Aussie line-up. Maxwell at 7 and Green at 8. That's a serious team.
The one guy I've always wondered about is Mitch Marsh. He's had an excellent career, but gets gigs ahead of better players.

Nah, you were right the first time. Poor positioning. He is going down too early. Even the shot he pulls he doesn't get over the ball enough and you can see the ball rising at a catchable height the moment it leaves his bat.

A few guys take a big stride early against spin and then a second smaller step once they've got the line and length, but for sure this is not too shiny. Plus with a closed toe like that you're stuck. That closed foot shuts down all your options.
