Wesley save his spot from dropping. He played today's match only because of williams injury.
From dropping to highest run getter of zimbabwe today

Another 40 runs would have been interesting. Burl lost his nerve, should have kept tossing it up, it was turning a mile.

Why would Zampa bowl more top spin on a turning deck? I'm drawing a blank on that.

I'd still like to see Evans with the new ball.

Fairly good fight against a full strength Australian team in Australia. Batting needs some consistency. I hope they can comtinue to compete and improve in the next 2 games as well.
And should get Williams and Muzarabani back for the next game.

Some good individual performances and overall a decent game.

No one expected us to win and thats fair.

It was just frustrating to see us throw away what was going to be a decent showing with the bat, then have Aus just make it look super easy in the chase, especially when it's people like Green and Maxwell who are doing the job.

Regis was so poor in his post match interview its hard to get any insight or know whats going on in his head. A little worrying that our captain can't string together two sentences of any comprehensible cricketing strategy.

Things we can work on are playing off the bat foot. Standing tall when batting as opposed to being low. We also need to be better with a straight bat and show a bit more thought with our shot selection.

Positives were Marumani and Wes with the bat. They have shown talent and something to work with. Didn't watch too much of our bowling but liked what the seamers did with their line and length a lot of the time.

At least 2 of the youngsters did well with the bat. We actually had a decent start.

As I said before Blessing didn't look fit when I saw him. He was actually walking with a bit of a limp. The next game might actually still be a bit too early but I hope he makes it.

Marumani had a good innings, but not a lot has changed how he goes about it, can't help feeling that with another batter up the order he'd be better at 7 or 8. He's got a great eye and can hit. That shot he went out to was not well thought out, threw away a well earned 50.
Kaia just doesn't move his feet. You can play in your box and all that, but with no head and foot movement you're not going to get into good positions. I wonder how he plays away swing? It will surely amplify his issues. Aussies will be wondering that as well.
Madhevere didn't actually play that well, but strung together a good innings, a sign of a decent player.
Raza is going to have to figure out how to rotate strike because he's going to get more of the same, he's not going to face much spin.
Those were tough batting conditions, the ball holding up and getting some steep bounce. It actually looked like the pitch did a bit more in the second dig.

Was there a speed gun? I thought they'd go to the short ball more often in that first spell, but they didn't. I think they will test Madhevere and Raza a lot more with the short ball next time.
Still trying to understand why Zampa bowls more top spin than side spin. Burl was getting it to rag.

Zampa is very underrated. He often exceeds expectations even against Sub continent teams.
