Mitchell Marsh will miss the remaining two matches due to ankle injury.
Sean Williams will return to Zimbabwe’s XI for tomorrow’s second ODI, but Blessing Muzarabani is unlikely to play this tour, says coach Dave Houghton.

Yes I had serious doubts about Blessing. Chivanga probably feels some type of way about that

Williams for Munyonga is the obvious choice for now.

I'd bring Williams in for either Nyauchi or Jongwe personally. And send Munyonga down the order. Don't think we need 4 quicks if the pitch is going to turn again.

Houghton has said that Williams will come in for a quick. One of Evans or Jongwe I reckon.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 7:14 amI'd bring Williams in for either Nyauchi or Jongwe personally. And send Munyonga down the order. Don't think we need 4 quicks if the pitch is going to turn again.
Steve Smith said that tomorrow's wicket looks difficult to bat on.

I agree, Jongwe is the one under pressure for his spot if the pitch is going to turn. Evans has thrown a cat amongst the pigeons for the selectors.
Nyauchi is more threatening with the ball than Jongwe and Evans is definitely going to be a better bat, if he isn't already.
Once again they need to give Evans the new ball to see if he can get some swing and seam. There's nothing to lose, we're on a hiding to nothing anyway. Even if they gave him 3 overs only.

Well if that's the case it has to be Jongwe, if Evans gets dropped then you know there's a story.zimfan1 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 30, 2022 7:26 amHoughton has said that Williams will come in for a quick. Well he hasn't done much. Averages 61 in ODIs now. 2 wickets in last 5 matches.
Should have taken Chivanga or someone on tour if Blessing wasn't going to play.
