Brandon Mavuta 6/43 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Shane Getake scoring a century for Tuskers, concerning that a bowler from Ireland has come over and scored a ton, whilst most of the local batsman struggle
He is a batsman now. Doesn't really bowl.
Fair enough, the times I saw him playing for Ireland I Remember him bowling medium fast with some good yorkers, unless I am mixing him up with someone else?

His records indicate he was a bowler who could bat, but I guess players change their roles.

Anyway, still a concern that a bowler turned batsman has come over and scored a ton before the rest of the local guys, apart from Marumani of course

Campbell finally gets over his problem in the 40s. On another note how sad is the demise of Musakanda.
Yes it’s very sad about Tari, although it’s never too late for a player in Zimbabwe to turn things around. If Mark Vermeulan could come back and play test cricket after all the crazy shit he did, Tari has plenty of time to right his ship.

Another point though in my concerns about replacing the Big 4, guys like Moor, Burl & Tari were always seen as the guys to take over. But now none of them are looking likely to become that middle order batsman that averages 30-35 and becomes the main stay of the batting lineup

Great weekend of cricket! I managed to call in to Kwekwe for an hour or so this afternoon whilst passing. I saw Kunje bring up his fifty which was nice. Rhinos look weak on paper but seem to be doing well.
The ground at Kwekwe is in pretty good shape! It’s funny that they still have all the 2018 WCQ signs and sponsors up everywhere, but the field looked in good condition and they’ve got a nicely renovated outdoor bar area. Lovely place to watch some cricket.

Yesterday I was at a primary school tournament in Harare yesterday as my cousins child was playing. Primary cricket is never great, but the team that won the tournament was a black school from Chi Town which was very surprising and encouraging. They had a lad batting who looked very special for an 11 year old - I hope he gets a good scholarship and keeps up his cricket.
Just to add to the point about kwekwe being in a good state, I've just seen some photos from the Tuskers game at BAC today and sadly it looks like a dump! :( Why are they not playing at Queens?

Ben Curran is in for the fight of his life down here. There aren't too many games so he needs to get firing quickly. Is he really registered as a local?

Jonathan Campbell has a List average of 37 which is high by our standards. Need to convert more. Still hasn't scored a century.

Ya a few ordinary games and that's the season gone. Do that a few times and you're looking at a few years. Ask Moor.

And nobody peels off a few hundreds to really get on the radar, you're either a chosen one or you're a passenger

I think PJ qualified to play for Ireland this week.

He was qualified for the worldcup also but due to largely inconsistent batting in Irish domestic setup plus sudden gain in form of other keeper lorcan tucker didn't help his cause ..but i think he will make debut for them very soon

They are supposedly, in theory, playing a Test in England next year. He will almost certainly be selected for that. Mostly just for his experience in red ball cricket, which most of the rest of the Irish squad don't have in recent years.

One thing of note to add which we missed before. Walter Chawaguta is now coaching the Tuskers not Hondo. I wonder where Doug is?
Hondo is now coaching the Eagles.
