I recall Houghton vaguely trying to justify it. If he was part of that decision its disappointing, if he's covering someone else's shit decision its equally disappointing.
He should have had exposure in those T20's a while back and he should be playing now.

This is a cruel game. Once you've got 4 or 5 shit innings behind you the mental pressure is enormous.
