You have decided to come back wow, welcome backbrmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 10:42 amCan anyone think of a single plausible reason why you would:
a) choose to bat first in the rain
b) not open with Raza

They knew the weather forecast though.
Unbelievable stupidity for them to bat first. The only thing I can think of, which still doesn't justify it, would be if they thought they would only lose a few overs to rain and it might pump the RRR for SA up a bit.

We don't have a team for 9 over blast ..we are better in T20
Re: Super 12s Match Thread: Zimbabwe v South Africa
Raza v the extra pace +bounce from the SA bowlers. Interesting to see how he goes
Re: Super 12s Match Thread: Zimbabwe v South Africa
Playing a shorter game is worse for us. We needed a rain out by this point

If it's a full 20 over match, yes I agree.ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 10:04 amYeah true.
And all it has done now has just made the Pakistan game do or die.
I’ve concluded it’s not a net win or a net loss mathematically so the fact we are not seeing them in action comes into play, just as supporters.
‘We can’t lose if we don’t play’ is the supporters logic version of ZC’s ‘can’t spend money if we don’t play’ genius of 2016-2020.
But who's enjoying this 9 over match which was lost the moment we elected to bat first? Would be better to just bank the point and move on. Zimbabwe's best strategy from here is to try and chew up as much time as possible and hope it rains again

Fuck me, we can't even run properly. We are so fucking stupid with the bat.
