I believe he had a trial with Mountaineers last weekend. Let’s hope they’ve taken him on.

Another u19 Alex Falao has signed a contract with Eagles for the season.

A friend told me ages ago he would play in the Pro50 this year but he didn't, so I'm not sure. We'll see.

He has played for Ireland Academy and Ireland A recently, so I wonder if he will choose to register as local or overseas here.

So the rumour is strong that Ballance will be playing for Mountaineers. That would mean Ballance, Moor and Compton in their line-up. That's 3 overseas unless there's something we don't know and it's possible that Bennett may get a game.

Moor could play as a Local in theory, although that would potentially make him ineligible in terms of Cricket Ireland's own domestic competition rules. Maybe a deal has been struck.

Or maybe Compton/Ballance will be here at different times. I thought Compton wasn't arriving until January?

It would be helpful if ZC still published squad lists. They used to in previous years
