I think Raza will play the Tests. Burl may not get selected in the test side.
If Willo is injured still then that's a real shame. Given the injury issues with Ervine and Williams I'm not sure if we can bank on them to be available for the WCQs either.

Re: Test XI - Windies series
The problem with losing Williams and Raza - is we have 4 spots to fill in the test XI
Rest of the top order has no serious second dimension to them. Serious problem. A safety first selection in this context might bring Tiripano back into the equation as well...

Please no, I hope we have seen the last of Tiripano’s bowling in Test cricket. Always appreciated his batting heroics, but picking a bowler because he could hold a bat was always infuriating for me.CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 4:48 amThe problem with losing Williams and Raza - is we have 4 spots to fill in the test XIRest of the top order has no serious second dimension to them. Now imagine my pain when Rubel Hossain played 30 odd Tests. He’s half the bowler Tiripani was and half the batter too!jaybro wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 5:26 amPlease no, I hope we have seen the last of Tiripano’s bowling in Test cricket. Yeah, but sticking the right balance might lead to crazy selection choices.jaybro wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 5:26 amPlease no, I hope we have seen the last of Tiripano’s bowling in Test cricket. By the way what are people's opinions about Tony Munyonga getting a shot in the middle order? He seems to have played some gritty Logan Cup knocks this year.

At least Rubel was pretty quickKriterion_BD wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 6:04 am

I’d have no issue if Munyonga was selected considering the unavailable players. Ideally, I would like to have seen him score more runs and at least 4-5 Logan Cup hundreds, but unfortunately the depth for batting stocks just isn’t there.CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 6:30 am

BAC isn't great.....but the awful camera with fucked color ratios make the outfield look worse than it actually is. It's much greener than the camera shows!!
