Only if Ballance came in at 3. The scorecard might've been massively different. Can't still find a reason for sending chamu in at 3 after a whole day of soul searching.

Surely Moor wasn't that bad with the gloves as far as remember.
I only meant that seems to be the order they are preferring currently.

Nah Magodo and Moor are above Gumbie in the pecking order at mountaineers

Since we all are on wicketkeepers and on screen commentators also talking about the same . How good was Brendan Taylor in terms of keeping ? We have discussed enough on his batting . But what about his keeping ? Was he a makeshift keeper ? Did he keep enough in school/u19 days . Anyone who can throw light on this. And how much do you rate him as keeper

In my opinion he was excellent. When a guy is that naturally gifted and kept when he was a kid he has to be more than good enuf. Probably would have done slightly better as a batsman if he hadn't kept, especially since he was often not in show room condition and keeping is physically and mentally draining.

He was a lot better than some people say. A lot of people seem to think his ability was that of a part-time keeper just because he didn’t keep wicket permanently throughout his career. But he was more than capable and a much better glovesman than for example Tsiga, Madande or Marumani are currently. He just got a bit fat and unfit which can’t have helped.

I've always underestimated Shingi Masakadza. He's a decent player. My line-ups have invariably omitted him and I'm having to rethink.

Wellington definitely has some Tiripano in him. I remember batting at 3 for the mountaineers once. I always say they must encourage our bowling all rounders to bat higher in doemstic cricket. Maybe at number 6

You mean Wellington? Or Shingi?! The ship has probably sailed for Shingi although he’s still a good stalwart in domestic cricket.

Wellington is massively underrated by everyone, unfairly.

We are losing wickets at the absolute worst times. Will be very difficult to get to 248 here. New ball is due just now
