No coincidence that the batters in all sides have got better as the week goes on. We should be playing at least three of these one week competitions a season.

We really need to forget about red ball domestic cricket for most of the season.

Mavuta who plays every game for the Rhinos has played 38 T20s compared to 43 FC matches in his career.

I mean 57 from 22 balls against an almost full strength mountainmen side is pretty epic.

There's no chance he is doing that (consistently) against top-tier international sides.

So what's the point of him playing against Congo or whoever we play. Surely an opportunity to give younger guys like Marumani and co the confidence they need in a Zimbabwe shirt.

Crazy if we pick a 38 year old for a development opportunity like the Africa qualifier.

We have a rapidly ageing side as it stands, we don't need any more old blokes!

Noted that Ben Curran has been dropped by Rocks for the last couple of matches. Really not going well for him unfortunately.

Muzarabani's absence is disappointing. I understand he is fit again. I get that they are wanting to protect him but surely he needs some match practice some times?!

Ervine is also fit but not playing, disappointing.

Williams supposedly back fit again but as usual not playing domestic cricket. No real surprises there.

Cephas struggles at international level. Strikes it beautifully, but I agree that we have to persevere with Marumani.
If you bowl at him, back of a length he really struggles, and doesn't seem to have the shot to get himself off strike. There aren't many guys in world cricket that hit six's as effortlessly as he does, makes it look easy. The swing and miss between the boundaries has always been his undoing.
