In the modern game can you really afford to just be a batsman? Unless you are world class you will always be walking a fine line.

Catching up on highlights from the past few days. Great to see some really decent crowds at the other venues for non-Zim matches

By the way, congrats on the 10000 posts jaybro! :)

I was probably the first to hit 9500, but Googly and you have overtaken me to 10000, and I have been very infrequent anyway for more than a year now. Up next, Sloan to hit the 10000 mark...
Thanks CA, it is a little concerning that I have made so many posts despite joining the forum much later than yourself a few others, and I've also had a few spells from the forum as well. That probably suggests I post too much when I am active :D
It's a prestigious club, I need to work on my technique to get over the line 😉
I have fallen well off the pace it seems!

Congrats from me too for the number but also the general contribution they represent

I see your point but I think Wes has enough ability as a bowler to justify developing as an all rounder. He’s a much better bowler than, say, Shumba. And Myers with his military medium too. If I were them I’d concentrate purely on batting, yes. But Wes is genuinely a more than decent bowler and I think it’d be a shame if he dropped that completely.
Definitely not doubting his ability. I think just looking at how things have gone and where we are currently at with him, perhaps we need to have a think about what his role is and how he develops.

Amidst all the excitement of Zim-WI game, let's not forget Netherlands and Nepal get involved in a virtual Knock Out game today.

Nepal struggling at 132/7 against the dutch after 36 overs!

The Dutch seem to be going through to the super 6s.

I'm sorry but tactically, Zim are well behind most of these opposition sides on the field and with selection

Netherlands beating Nepal today means that Zimbabwe have qualified for the Super 6s with 2 points assured. The game against USA will be inconsequential.
