When I listen to Andy Flower in the commentary box I realise thats the kind of coach you need for a new generation. No nonsense. The way he was disappointed with Nidamanuru says it all. I think DH is the kind of guy you need for senior players but if we ever want to see the likes of Wes prosper we need the Andy Flower approach. Houghton is more relaxed and let's senior players trust their game.
Ya I agree. He was a dictator when he was playing. Used to scream at players who underperformed.

That's the danger of sweeping right there. Well one of them. He predetermined and it was too full.

The Netherlands have a very healthy run rate today - if they win, they're gonna get a good NRR boost.
Not sure it matters a huge amount for them. If they are tied on points with someone then the first tie-breaker is number of wins, and their WI match was officially a tie. NRR is second after number of wins.
I see, that's interesting! I assumed it was the other way round.
yeah - from the playing conditions;

"
16.10.6 Super Six
In the event of teams finishing on equal points in the Super Six stage, the right to progress to the Final will be
decided in the following order of priority:
a) The team with the greatest number of wins in all of the matches throughout the competition
against the other Super Six stage qualifiers will be placed in the higher position.

b) If there are teams with equal points and equal wins in the Super Six stage, then in such case the
team with the higher net run rate in all matches played against the other Super Six qualifiers will
be placed in the higher position (refer to clause 16.10.9 below for the calculation of net run rate).
c) If two or more teams are still equal, they will be ordered according to the head-to-head match(es)
played between them (points then net run rate in those matches).
d) If still equal, any teams that cannot be separated in this way shall be placed according to their original
Group seeding.
e) If the above does not resolve the Super Six stage ordering, or if all matches within the Super Six stage
produce no results, then the order of finishing will be determined by the team’s performances in
the Group stage as follows: Group standing, most points, most wins. If still equal, any teams that
cannot be separated in this way shall be placed according to their original Group ranking (1-10). "

I know DH loves sweeps. We've got a couple of guys that aren't too adept that will bring it out early. Makes me itch
