It's supposed to be playing professional in the last 24 months right, so by the start of the English season next year his game for the Stars and Aus A game will not count. So in order to renew his Surrey Premier League contract, he needed to either play here, or make a breakthrough for the Stars or Victoria.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2023 9:35 amRowe would probably get a sports person visa anyway having played Australia A, u19WC and a BBL match. So don't think it's the case for him to be fair.pillowprocter wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2023 9:33 amObviously, all these guys are only coming to be eligible for overseas sportsperson visas in England. Pretty sure Roach paid, Rowe might be on merit, but it's the same goal for both of them.

Who was the English guy who hated the place and everything about living here and mouthed off on the forum under an alias?![]()

Must be something wrong with the guy

I think Gary Brent has helped out a couple of times.
Guys like Byrom have a network here.
Maybe ZC puts guys up in one of their houses or a B&B?
The hospitality I don't think is what it used to be. Back in the day good guys were given the red carpet treatment and never wanted to leave.
It's never fully reciprocated though. You go there and they make themselves very scarce

It's actually not funny at all. My mates and I learnt a few lessons back in the day. The hospitality is a one way street.
A group of English lads we looked after for a year and thought they were world class. We went there and they met us for drinks once, which we, as usual, paid for.
The best guys were the Kiwis.

The issue here is transport. You need a car or you're going to have a grim time.

What was his alias? Would like to get my BP red lining, had an easy week.zimfan1 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2023 9:53 amLiam Dawson!secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2023 9:37 amThis always intrigues me. Re: Pro50 Championship 2023-24
Spencer Magodo averaging over 40 from his first 15 List A games
Re: Pro50 Championship 2023-24
Spencer looks a good player. Only the one boundary in his 48 not out so far but a strike rate of over 80 suggests he is very good at working the gaps.
Re: Pro50 Championship 2023-24
That was outstanding
Smacks of Naqvi having a dip at a few of us as well.
What happened to the great posters on this forum?? Miss those days.
In fairness to the soft cock, I might also shed a tear having to spend a few months in Mutare. And it's slipped further down the toilet of oblivion since then. If you had a car and were keen on fishing and some me time, Inyanga is down the road.
Then you have Gillespie who didn't want to leave KweKwe.
These small towns used to be great, but most are tough going now. Masvingo used to be an awesome place, but its dead. I remember that club house well. Witnessed an epic bar brawl when Triangle played Masvingo in rugby. There were well over 5000 pissed fanatical supporters and it really kicked off. Now a church has rented the place and you have to listen to 50 people imploring Jesus at the top of their lungs via a 50 year old tin can amplifier and speaker. WTF happened

Ya you're not wrong there. There's a reason I spend 95% of my time in Harare now
