I just don't see the benefits from his side though. Like if he tried for pakistan, he won't be very far away from selection. So why throw money around in zim for an international career? I understand needing professional games under his belt for possible future county endevours. But why international cricket?
Re: Pro50 Championship 2023-24
The Eagles should have won the game a lot sooner than they did, no way the Rocks should have made 270.
So many midfield and dropped catches in that game, it was a poor show. Its clear Masunda is not a full time keeper, he missed 3 stumpings.
That is the luckiest 50 by Chisoro I think I will ever see, at one point I thought he was going ton up!
Great innings from the Eagles openers but they almost bottled it in the end.

Yup. Averaging 94 after 5 FC games and 169 after 2 List A games

I'm actually a bit worried that if he gets picked for the next afro T10 people from Pakistan will notice and push for him to play domestic cricket there. Yes it's controversial but this is a big opportunity for us because this kid can play.

Naqvi is bloody good. No doubt about that.
Very excited looking at the kind of young talent at display in the Pro 50.

Why would that worry you? He must fokofu.
He's guaranteed to get a T10 gig.
I don't think he's going anywhere. They look to be doing business here and are being more than supported by their community.
He's been a mile ahead of everyone so far, but as stupid as it sounds, it doesn't translate into doing well at international level. Clearly he knows his game and has developed a great habit of converting, but nobody has bowled even one good over at him yet. Only Mpofu has bowled fastish at him and he looked a bit iffy.
Our bowling is shite, there's no escaping it.
You need to be able to bowl 10 good deliveries and maybe get one wrong. Our guys can't bowl 4, no jokes. And the worrying part is we don't have more than about 4 batters that can capitalise on that. Watching those Eagles batters try and close that game out was worrying. That should have been done and dusted by the 45th over.
I'm not talking him down, his results so far speak for themselves. It doesn't mean he will go well on the international stage. That's next level stuff. It's worrying that all he's doing is playing low risk cricket and doing a mile better than anyone else.
He'll have a shit run, nobody has a streak like that. Have the bowlers even gotten together to decide how to bowl at him?
Bowlers elsewhere would have worked out how to at least keep him quiet.

One of his fellow batsmen should try running him out. Bet he doesn't have an answer for that!

Interesting article about his background. I'm sure his father has been a huge influence

Good to see Musakanda doing well too. I hope he has a solid season and puts everything behind him. I understand he got fined for that offence but I'm sure a lot happened behind the scenes. He is still just 28, he can turn it around.
