It took Mike Hussey until he was 30 years old to get a gig for Australia and he was a star . Just an example of how hard it is to get a game and there are numerous other examples over the years .secretzimbo wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2023 11:21 amI think there’s a chance he is genuinely this good. Fair play to him .
I just don’t understand how he’s ended up here and not playing in either Australia or even Pakistan.

But I mean IN australia. Why hasn’t he played Shield, or heck, even 1st Grade cricket?!?!

What knives yo?
There’s legitimacy in questioning whether he is genuine class, in an extended purple patch or whether his stats are inflated by our poor domestic standard.
The paying to play aspect is a red flag surely when his stats talk for themselves. Why would he need to do that?

Is Gwandu someone we can take a look at for the 50 over Ireland tour??
Re: Pro50 Championship 2023-24
Plenty of guys with multiple seasons of county cricket under their belt have played Zim domestic over the last couple of years and with the exception of Compton in the Logan Cup none of them have close to this level of domination. Patrick Rowe who was Aus-19 player a few years ago and a first grader in Melbourne is also with the Rhinos and he only managed a 6 ball duck in the last game he played. Obviously the standard isn’t that high but this is still a ridiculously good run of form.
