Chirandu Maraini has sadly passed this week. The only groundsman Takashinga has ever had, from its inception right up until the laying of the new square earlier this year.
A knowledgeable dude and pretty much the first black pitch curator in the country back in the 90’s.
May his soul rest in peace, remember seeing him a couple of times when hanging in and around Takas, seemed to be a guy who took his job seriously. I just saw Trevor Garwe in the minute silence pics, what is he up to nowadays? One of the really nice and laid back guys at Takashinga for sure. I remember back then he broke the windows at Takas, he could hit it a long way!
Talk about a scorned woman opening up a can of worms
So the 2 questions I have. Does Roy really have a national team contract? That's if we believe what she is saying. The second has to be surely they can't still be on $600/month for 6 months? Especially somebody like Roy. The truth is obviously somewhere in the middle but this is interesting

He captained that emerging team. He’s got more dollar than he’s told his baby mama for sure.
The franchise guys definitely only get paid for 6 months still. 600 was the amount for quite a while but my understanding is that it has risen for the past two years , so should be more than what Roy is claiming.
Additionally former capped players (like Roy) are supposed to get an extra amount too.
It wouldn’t surprise me if he was nationally contracted. He’s part of the in-crowd of boys. Chamu still has a national contract….
Eagles game is very interestingly poised. No play and Rhinos have a 60 run lead on a disastrous pitch. I'd declare if I were them and see how quickly they could wade thru the Eagles line up.
