So Rhinos had a 60 run first innings lead. They continued batting for another 50 odd runs, that must have been about 15 overs and then stuck Eagles in and they were on 27-0 and the match was drawn.
If anyone remotely understood cricket they'd surely have stuck Eagles in immediately hoping for a collapse and the slimmest of chances of an outright win?

Hes probably the quickest of the Pakistanis, maybe has the odd 140 ball, but mostly 135-137 I reckon. Not enough to scare good batters with pace.Train Driver wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 1:16 pmIt's because the Eagles players are so shit scared of facing Muhammad Adil they've made the wicket unplayablesecretzimbo wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 12:25 pmHow are they STILL not playing at Takashinga? Impressive captaincy from our new overlord Naqvi……Googly wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 3:43 pmSo Rhinos had a 60 run first innings lead. They continued batting for another 50 odd runs, that must have been about 15 overs and then stuck Eagles in and they were on 27-0 and the match was drawn.

It's actually a head shaker. The pitch would have been shit and they'd have had about 30 overs at them. Look, highly unlikely but there's a sniff and would have made for an interesting few overs.

Apologies to Cunningham btw, he wasn't even playing, he's just the first guy I thought of when I imagined a bad Eagles batsman

Overseas guys really dominating this round...
Tbh though, it's good that they are there. Clearly they are a step up from the average local standard, and it puts good distance between pro cricket and the NPL/Vigne Cup stuff. For a local youngster to get a regular gig on the pro circuit, and perform well (!!), won't be entirely easy.
If anyone puts up any real numbers, it should mean something.
