I mean you can say the same in the batting department. It's the Williams/ervine/raza show. How exactly are our seamers to improve if you don't give them the adequate game time? These are our supposed best 30 odd players in the country and you don't play them? Quite a nice touch to add the seamers in the franchise system I'd say but don't feel there was a requirement here.

They would be injury risks though at their age, and we already know our fast bowling lineup. It’s the batting we don’t know

Our batting definitely is astonishing to say the least
Imagine making Faraz look like Brett Lee

I predict Faraz is going to be a mainstay in the Zimbabwean team. He’s coming good and I’d be surprised if he isn’t playing either this Sri Lanka series or the Bangladesh series.

Seam attack is looking good for a change with Blessing, Ngarava, Evans etc. Shame about everything else (batting, spinners, keeping ).

Tbf to faraz he does have some decent control, only if he had more pace or swing, alas!

Oh he’ll be a mainstay for sure. Not necessarily because of his taken or ability however.

What secret is hinting at is it’s widely believed by people in cricket circles I’ve been told that Faz’ parents pay ZC for him to play.
This is why he shows up on Zimbabwe 11 tours and gets the odd game in ‘meaningless’ t20s.

They keep him away from the big ones like the qualifiers though.

He can't possibly be a poorer talent than Jongwe or Marumani, who seem to be in every XI or 15-man squad!

Are you saying Akram is better than Jongwe? There is a valid reason why both of those players have been in most 15 man squads. Akram is just an average bowler that has done okay for himself at domestic level nothing more.

The fact that Akram is getting a look in just shows how poor our pace bowling stocks are. The reason we have had to bring in a load of average Pakistani bowlers (who are still better than all of our pacers) to make the competition competitive.

Over the past year or 2 we have seen the decline of Masuku, Tiripano, Nyauchi, Jongwe.

Nobody is coming through to replace them.
