I like these two. Level headed. Taruvinga has been a bit of a dead bat at times but he has done what is required. Maybe he will open up a bit in the super six matches

Scorecard not bad so far.

Flipped side: too, too many dots obtained by Namibian bowlers (and several wides enjoyed by Zimbabwe.

It seems that the batting haunt is affecting the u19 too.

Mawoyo being a bit disingenious there talking about this being the first Zim team to get to the next stage since 2006. Worth noting that up until this year it was only the top 8 who got to the next (main) stage. This year it's top 12. We could still end up finishing 12th!!! So it's much easier this year than any previous edition to get to that 'next round'.

Still, it's good! The reward will be fixtures against England, South Africa and the Windies which will be greta opportunities for these kids.
Who are the other two sides zim will play???

He doesn't miss an opportunity to talk about his u19 win against Australia.

I think that's all he's got at the moment at this level. This low chase is ideal because they're all poor thru off.
I've seen Hlabangane net before and he's got shots. Kamwemba as well.

The Namibians have given up. These two have played well.

It would have been great if Zimbabwe could have had a crack at Ireland or Nepal in the Super 6 , but the ICCs obsession at having an assured India-Pak match means that Zimbabwe will play Eng, RSA and WI. One of Ireland or Nepal will get another win which is good for them.

Still the other way to look at it is that Eng, RSA and WI do not seem to be as strong as India, Pak Or Australia, so there is a chance of causing an upset in the super 6. We don't have a damn thing to lose and SZ pointed out that this win today would also mean Zimbabwe qualify directly for 2026 U19 WC as Afghanistan are already out.

I didn't realise the automatic qualification! That's absolutely vital for us.
Bloody delighted to see Afghanistan's early exit. Their players can go back to their wives and kids.
