This team is very much at par with Ireland, Afghanistan, and slightly better than associate sides but not going to be challenging the top sides by any means.
From U19s we just need to see of we have 2-3 good prospects and I think we have a few from this team, apart from Ronak, I think Nyamhuri is good, so is Schonken. There is some. Potential in Kamwemba as well, what I mean is these players can be worked upon for future.

That was a capitulation with the bat. Very disappointing.
Mafukka is a great find for SA though.
Ronak Patel looked reasonably comfortable.

Yea Ronak stood up reasonably well against Australia too. Believe he was our to scorer there. Maybe not saying much as both inadequate totals but he looks good

Batting ave: 12
Bowling ave: 38
This includes playing Ireland, Namibia and the USA.
Gone are the days when a decade back Malcolm Lake tonked a better than run a ball century against India and we were only reasonably excited.

Schonken’s bowling against Namibia was actually awful, I have no idea how they didn’t manage to cash in off him. There were a lot of runs on offer there
He’s a leggie though remember. They develop late. He has potential for sure.

Pretorius, their opener, has got the weirdest set up, don't know how he's been successful, but he can bat.
Unlucky not to get Stolk there, nearly chopped it on.

Pretorius and Stolk both look mid twenties. To think these two and Luus were only last minute inclusions for all the wrong reasons as usual

I wonder if Mr Mishi has considered u19 and youth cricket at all?
Re: U19 World Cup | South Africa | Jan-Feb 2024
At least it won't be a 10 wicket defeat
Re: U19 World Cup | South Africa | Jan-Feb 2024
Pretorius is not going to be able to do that Amla looping blacklift in men's cricket unless he's got a unique skill set.
He hits it so sweet though
