Raza just chopped one on. Terrible looking shot. No good news there either.

Typical Zim loading tomorrow. Good start with ball, have them 70-3 at lunch. Then get sloppy second session, allow a big partnership by giving away a hit me delivery every over, then go to stumps with them at 220-4. Lead swells on day 3. Finally get them out for 380 odd. Trailing by about 170. We bat well then collapse again to 230 all out. We then flatter to deceive with some early wickets again trying to defend 60, until they eventually win by 7 wickets.

Go home, then dont play the format for another 5 months.

there’ll be enough rain to get a draw out of it and flatter to deceive further. The suits and the salamander will fly back to Salisbury sports club for tea and medals and celebrate a job well done in not getting hammered.

I am still backing our bowlers to do some damage
they need to and with four of them they should all be able to keep steaming in

I watched the first hour before heading to bed.
Gumbie to me would have to one of the most improved players.

From 100-0 to 200 all out?

Nah man, that is a disgrace. DISGRACE

We see players in T20 deploy the forward defensive and nurdling it around for singles.

Then in Tests we see literally the same players swinging big from ball 1?!

There are no words.

Ireland's deep batting might make a difference, but genuinely Zimbabwe are very much in it, esp if it remains overcast today.

Hoping for better 2nd innings contributions from Ervine, Williams, Myers and Madande. Bennett somehow looks a little uncomfortable to me in this format.

I was keeping tabs on the score, but was preoccupied. The game is during market hours here in the US, and the past week I've taken a savage beating. If I was smart, I'd just sit tight as Warren Buffet suggests...alas where's the adventure in that?

Anyways, this was the most Bangladeshi innings by Zimbabwe. Usually Zimbabwe start an innings 30-4 and then have some sort of recovery somewhere to post 200. Here it was the other way around. I even remember seeing the score at 76-0 and thinking "what if Zimbabwe only gets 250 from this start?"

Anyways, if my prediciton of 700 runs total for the Test holds true, ZIM are actually probably right on a part score. However, the pitch looks fairly decent and Ireland not only bat deep, but they've got a couple of gun batters in the side with lead by Tector + plus a Balbirnie and a Stirling.
