no, i didn't wanted to avoid any embarrassment (because i know it is the pitch)rather i wanted to take at least 4 zim wkt before the close of the day so that boys can wrap it up by tomorrow lunch..

We should be more concerned about the credibility of those who persisted with him in the first place! There was never anything about him to suggest his potential would be realised anytime soon.FlowerPower wrote:I'm convinced Bligz Mawoyo has used up his lives ... who then?
With 10+ overs left under these conditions, I'd like to know who threw in a nightwatchman (Jarvis). To call it a bad choice is an understatement!

Finally stumps!!!
Total 18 wickets have fallen today. I won't believe the wicket is okey. Day 1 has seen 16 and day 2 has seen 18 wickets falling. Something must be wrong with the wicket!!!!
The score line suggest some Waqar, Macgrath, Donald, Malinga bowling their most dangerous spells. But all the bowlers are young and inexperienced. Some day they may turn legends but now it's the wicket that made them look like that.

In the end, it was to no advantage that Bangladesh requested an extra day for this tour match.
I don't think it's th epitch. But if is, I would be greatly disappointed to know that we deliberately prepared this pitch. However, considering that our selectors & administrators have persited with some ordinary players which they've allowed to taint our name and cheapened the value of our jersey, despite vowing to do the opposite by restoring our status, I doubt they have the capacity to make such a smart(sinister) move!

Hi, i am a new Bangladeshi member. The forum seems to be quite lively.
However, the practice matches are being pathetic. Was expecting more from our batsmen, though pacers have earned my appreciation.
If Meth is not in the Test XI..he should be blindly chosen.

Re: [Match thread] Zimbabwe XI vs Bangladeshis (Tour match)
I wouldn't worry too much about this warmup match. The pitch is clearly a minefield which wont play on the minds of the batsmen too much once they are on a decent wicket. Sportsmen have very short memories and wont let a couple of failures on a bad wicket trouble them too much. This warmup game was already pointless from Zimbabwe's point of view as we have had enough practice matches recently. By preparing a minefield, we have succeeded in making this match pointless for Bangladesh also - which works in our advantage more than anything.
