Probably just outside the line. That call could have gone either way.
These guys just need to tick it over at 6's and not panic. Take it deep.

Bennett 12 off 21....terrible in T20. He needs to go on and score big from here or else it's a disaster.

It's just a couple of hits to catch it up. More important not to lose wickets

For how long? And how is it doing him any good?
He got a start in 5 of 6 matches vs Pakistan, which is progress. He isn't going backwards.

Also not the sort of guy who's head will go I don't think. Very confident guy.

I'd also persevere.
I don't agree. He has been given way too many opportunities and has yet failed to cement his place in the side. Welch or Curran deserve a chance ahead of him.

Nothing to do with them being white. I'm genuinely saying this because they are the ones in form.
They'll get their chance no doubt in ODI/Tests initially. But neither have played T20 cricket for a while and I am less than convinced that Curran would be a good T20 player at all. Probably not as an opener anyway.

I can’t handle this

I’ve missed it. BP through the roof. Chase very much still on but hard graft to get there. Genuine competition.

You need at least one, preferably both, openers to have the confidence to go really hard from ball 1 in this format. I don't think you can be picking T20 openers based on first class form to be honest. It doesn't tell you much at all.

They are trying to push on but it looks difficult to score here.

Bennett with a :4: meanwhile.

Both of them are building good measured innings, hopefully they keep it going for another few overs

Well yes and no. If the pitch is holding up it's tough to pinch hit. If you're chasing a lowish total it's not necessary.

Rashid has bowled some hit me balls. Needs to sit out next game for Noor. In what world does he not make the starting 11?

Well ya, not saying it's necessary all the time, but you absolutely need guys in there who have the ability and confidence to do so when it is necessary.
