At least Bennett has passed the Stuart Carlisle century away from home test
what a performance. The biggest service BT can do for us over the next 2 years is open with Bennett. Or at least come in at 3 (before people say I'm discarding Welch, I don't think Ben is an automatic pick). I think they will be the perfect combo

For anyone who thinks we are doing terribly please look up the scorecards for the last time Ireland, Bangladesh and the west indies played a test in England. It's going as expected. Yes we could have done better but we have not done worse than those teams. Just the same struggles
Re: Zimbabwe vs England | Only Test | 22 - 25th May 2025
Chances are they will make us follow on looking at the scorecards against those other teams

Exactly. Blessing and Co have to knuckle down and see us ro stumps or Bidza has to play again and that would be shite for him. He'll probably come in at 3 or 4 anyway. Too tall an order unless he wants to become a legend.

All 4 players you mentioned, Bennett, Carlisle, Welch and BT have weird tail ender looking techniques. Funny how that is.TapsC2 wrote: ↑Fri May 23, 2025 4:02 pmAt least Bennett has passed the Stuart Carlisle century away from home testwhat a performance.
