I think he should have tried to squeeze two more overs out of Blessing in his first spell.
Pollock pointed out what he thought were a couple of wrong field sets, a bit beyond my paygrade, especially if the camera isnt showing the whole field.
He's very quick to go defensive and consequently the singles become easier and it releases the pressure.
In his defense it hasn't been easy to set fields to guys that haven't been consistent enuf in the past.

He had a problem trying to figure out how to rotate the seamers so Masakadza came on early and of course took a wicket

The short ball strategy was premature (hindsight is easy though), but offered up a chance and that fielder had just been moved, that's cricket though. Pretty sure the entire brains trust came up with that plan and it wasn't just Craig winging it.

Gimu's next spell is going to be important for him personally.
I was pleasantly surprised he got the nod ahead of Newman and he has to make it count. He bowled 3 deliveries there that would have taken wickets on another day. Craig will be hesitant to bowl him. He sticks with what he knows.

SA have probably read this pitch a bit better. Two specialist spinners, because its not offering as much to the seamers.
They have the luxury of a number of quality spinners to choose from though.

We're staring down the barrel here. These two are batting well. Theyre going to have to go back to line and length and hope Wellie holds up an end. Also need to plug a couple of gaps that offer singles and just be more attacking in the field set. If they successfully hit Wellie out of the attack, because theyre looking to go after him its going to cause headaches.

Who are our other bowling options?
Wes and Dion. If we continue to struggle I'd definitely have a look.

Again starting with Wellie and going to rotate the 3 sesmers from the other end. I just think that's a negative mind set. We need a wicket urgently.

Commentators punting for Newman.
Id give Dion a few overs here. Looked useful and the ball is swinging for him. This is where instinct is required
