I've just been looking at the public's response to this squad on X and FB. I don't think there has ever been such an overwhelming reaction.

They'd better start buying some major league juju because if the lads dont do reasonably theyve really exposed themselves.

The free drinks allocation for the Castle Corner choir is going to have to be trebled
Is that invoiced?

I just read on Twitter that players have only JUST been paid their 1500 euro per game fee for the Irish series.

Is this true? 6 months later?

Is this a sign of finances goin south AGAIN?
I think its USD which has taken a major dip.
Ya I've also heard they're several series behind.
Imagine if ICC ever implement their 10k a game thing
We'll see Mawoyo and Rainsford et al back in the whites
Unless they get more for talking shit?

Gosh, the hate is universal on social media. Massive amounts of anger and frustration from all sides at the squad which has been selected.

Why does Gwandu keep getting selected?

And I know he's unwell and his back is fucked, but there is absolutely a place for Sean Williams in this side

Sometimes it's better to avoid a toxic situation and start when things have cooled down. We are going to struggle against SA and NZ. That is obvious. Strategically you would rather then get back into the team against Sri Lanka, just before the qualifiers. Look at how tough is was for Matigimu playing his first game against South Africa on a flat track or even Dion having to open.

All those excuses of keeping the same team that beat Ireland will be used against the selectors in just over a week. There will literally be nothing left to say. Firing coaches won't work this time

No Brad Evans is ridiculous. Everyone was right, they really do hate him for some reason.

No Marumani either. More backroom garbage?

The reasonings i am seeing on twitter are just stupid

I will agree the side is very similar to the ireland series.

But we have a bowler domestically performing way better than others. So now his next in line for what a bowler to go down or be found out of their league.

I mean Ritchie only a month ago had shaggers back. Why not rest him a little more.

Maru is a whipping boy but his a way better option for back up keeper.

Brand Evans tweet is not loading.

Social media seems to be in agreeaance with how shit this squad is. It's literally a squad for the boys, with a few thrown in to make it seem like it's not.

Of course, we will probably do poorly over the next little while. Sammons will get sacked. We'll hear the same crap about taking it seriously and the board is putting the team first. Nothing will change and we'll go through the cycle again.

I saw people on social talking about boycotting, or marching to ZC. Doubt that would happen, but honestly, we need some serious intervention. The fans at home need to put pressure on ZC. We need structural change, and it starts with ZC

Two of the 3 games were washed out, nobody made runs except Tony, and we actually batted twice, nobody impressed overly with the ball and had the rain not interfered we were most likely to lose that series. We were fielding our B team and Ireland are decent.

They're staying with that team because they want those guys to do well. We all know why. I mean i want to be a scratch golfer and be younger and better looking and potentially have a slightly bigger penis, and a lot richer. Who do i talk to about that? . Last time I checked thats not how you pick a national side playing an international. When was the last time we played a tri series against two huge teams? The world is watching.
We're trying to stay relevant in the cricketing world and are tired of people saying Poor Zimbabwe.

Strategically for sure its better to play against a weaker team on your return, but find out who wants to go up against the Big Boys and stick with them. We can arrange games against Mozambique and Somalia later for confidence boosts for the guys who've completely lost their bottle. Would you like me to list them? They'll earn the same, come back to dancing girls at the airport, Castle Corner will sing just as loudly because theyre just as drunk and the dude that gets that done is earning a lot more than his previous job (50 bucks more) and even has an inside track on what the team is. Let that sink in- the choir master and dick sucker is in with the selectors. There's a lot to be said for being King of the Dungheap.
Does it get lower?

I've got a list of guys who also want to take on the best and to try and stem the bleeding and become better cricketers. Guys with bigger nuts who want to fight and improve and hopefully regain a small measure of respectability for Zim.
Oh and they want to earn some money as well.
