Interesting bowling comparison between Falao and Evans today.
ZC are touting Alex as the next big thing. He's decent, has a nice action, but he's not in the same department store at the moment. Went at 6's today and no wickets.
We need Lloyd and Lara to come for an intervention.
Will be good warm ups for Brad before he gets to play red ball cricket in the domestic to say the least, if not for the upcomming NZ test series.
I won't be surprised if he won't get picked for the NZ test. Matter of fact it will be better for him to not part be of the squad, where domination and probably embarrasment is pending.
Alex has shown some promises in A-games and also in Malden Wanderers. The lad deffo has the potentiala nd shown some improvements in the franchise leagues. But the PR will ruin him if he gets "national tressure/generational talent" treatment, well he's getting that still but not like Clive, Maru and Wes.

Absolutely he's one to watch. But there they were using the same ball, same pitch and same opposition and he is wicketless at 6's and Evans has a 4fer at 2's.
Its not like batting where u can make a mistake or get a good ball so cant be compared. If youre a bowler you get to bowl again. Like golf- u get to play another shot.

Yes Evans not being part of what's currently happening might work in his favour with him getting to bounce back against Sri Lanka. Look at what happened to Matigimu. Timing is key if you are fighting for your spot every game. He would have had to produce a Chivanga like performance.

The NZ tests will like see Ngarava, Chivanga and Blessing bowl anyway with Raza and Wellington/Masekesa on spin duty.

If youre talking two seamers with real potential look no further than Chitaira and Macheka. Vezha is good as well.
Macheka is the guy for me. He could be lethal if managed correctly.

The decent young batters are Kamwemba, Ronak Patel and Taruvinga. Melch is a year or so older, but miles ahead.

Matty Campbell batted at 5 in the first innings and opened in the second. What's up with that? I see he opens for the Rocks and has done reasonably well. How far off is he from challenging Curran and Bennett in Tests?

Matty is opening for his Club side Leek this season.

He is doing ok, averaging about 35. Another good domestic season will do him well.

His bowling for Leek hss been standout. Averages about 15 with the ball which is insane.

This cricket is a strange game
Here he's been fairly ordinary with the ball and shown a lot more talent with the bat.
For what it's worth Zolsky rates him, so clearly ZC does as well  I dont think he is part of that emerging squad though, which is very strange. I stand to be corrected.
He's a leftie also. All things being equal he need a really good season or two domestically. I havent really watched him closely. He looks good for sure as most lefties do.

Could we have a surprise candidate for the keeper position? Looks like he did well

Really glad to see Mcmillian in the mix, was a great schoolboy six hitter and hope he comes back to Zim after whatever he is doing in the UK is done!
The higher you go the cooler it becomes.
