Oh man this group is weak.

In the batting is there anyone of any potential at all, other than Hlabangana?

Senzere and Dhruv Patel aren't too bad and are decent prospects.

But Zc said this group was unbelievablely strong and much better than the group that produced Melch, Bennett and Bhawa? What's happened that I've missed?

This batch potentially has one of the best preparation as group in 5 years. With Sri Lanka and Afghanistan coming up, don't know wether its true but saw Zolsky mentioning about it on X.
So far the results has not been good apart from Ireland series. Happy to see handful of guys being part of the NPL and learn fast before potential SRL and AFG series.
What else can be done to really prepare the youngsters for U19 WC?
ZC and Larry K even claims there's age group level for the franchise team. How active is that? They did get plenty of game times compared to previous batches. One thing is sure (as an outsider) those kids are not even near the (senior) franchise teams like other U19 guys are.
I made a topic about adding more franchise teams could really make domestic much better. Financial state should'nt be an issue, according some articles coming from ZCs website. Is it just ZC doing the shady things finance or are they investing on other cricket development platforms?

So?

Ireland are also rans in junior cricket. Half of their best senior cricketers were developed in other countries, and weren't Ireland eligible at U19 level.

They are not in the same league as SA or Bangladesh.

More commenting on how the gap seems to be getting bigger and bigger in all ages of cricket now.

This over age thing redlines me. Its cheating, end of. Should be a life ban from cricket for the player, his team mates and coaching staff and that country should be suspended for 2 years, no more cricket. Only have to make one example.
