Also the cold hard fact - COLD. HARD. FACT. - that you can pick any Zim eligible XI on the planet and we are still getting embarrassed by these guys.

The rot is so fucking deep.

Maybe if we pick the best fucking Zimbabwean XI on the whole planet Earth with the slightest Great Zimbabwe blood we might only lose by an innings and 159 runs instead an innings and 359 runs?

Maybe that would be okay?

Or maybe that would still be totally fucking unacceptable and people need to realise that there is no XI that could be picked to properly save face. Our cricket is fucked and it is significantly so much deeper than mere ‘selection’. Yes we could pick a couple of better players and we could have been hammered in 4 days instead of 3 days but FFS guys we still would have been hammered. We are tinkering at the edges. Madhevere playing instead of Welch or Cum Ball playing instead of Raza would actually have made fuck all difffrence. It’s wishful thinking but carry on if it makes you feel good.

The real issue to blame is 25 years of maladministration at every level but by all means , if it makes you feel better carry on thinking one or two differences in selection would fix all our problems.

Clueless. Fucking clueless.

The geriatric dinosaur XI fucked up last time they tried to qualify for a World Cup, and the thought process is that they might do better now, many years after their peak, several years after some of them have even last touched a cricket ball? It’s all in lieu of the board the entire system developing a single - ONE - fuckinf world class player in that entire time. But they haven’t so Theyve returned to the elderly guys. What’s the definition of madness? Doing the same thing over and over? These guys are relatively, by our standards - quality, but ultimately STILL NOT GOOD ENOUGH, but ZC are praying they’ll save face and save them from the embarrassment from the fact that Uganda - I mean really, fucking Uganda!!!!! Have developed more better high quality cricket players than Zimbabwe have in the past two decades. The shame!!! The fucking shame!!!

No church or magic preacher in the world is making this happen. Youve got more chance hoping for a miracle cure for your addiction or hereditary disease or whatever the latest big name preacher is rinsing you for.

The system needs changing and even then we are years , maybe decades away from making a difference.

At some point people will realise the issue isn’t the players. Then they’ll realise the issue isn’t the coaches. Then they’ll realise the issue isn’t the selectors, well not entirely anyway.

Eventually they’ll realise it’s because we’ve had the world’s worst cricket administration (and it’s a hotly contested thing) for 25 solid years straight .

It’s got fuck all to do with the decisions made in 2025 or even 2024. But everything to do with decisions made in the early 2000’s.

I want the likes of Evans and Campbell in the side too but we are still going to get fucking destroyed by these teams. Stop pretending.

What is clear now is that there will never be another secret ZC presidential election.
We just had an election. Mukhulani and Bvute were elected unanimously without any queries.
Are you sure Bvute is back in the mix? Whats his role?
It would be absolutely calamitous news if he's back. This guy was pretty much the architect of our demise.
My mistake. I got my names mixed up. It was Makoni who got elected.

The rot set in decades ago.

Zolsky is an example and a fucking cancer in our sport. Like a wart on a testicle.

He’s vocal and visible and public but….

the terrifying thing is that there’s a lot more people with a lot more power who are just as fucking clueless or even more so than him, directly involved with the decision making in our sport and have been for two to three decades.

Apparently Brad Evans playing instead of Trevor Gwandu would solve everything.

God help us, this ‘petition’ to the SRC seems to suggest Ernest Masuku playing instead of Tanaka Chivanga would be the difference of an INNINGS AND 359 RUNS.

Fuck me. I mean where do I fucking start?

The top 6 is the top 6 everyone would have picked and they are white and they are old and they couldn’t even muster 250 runs aggregate in two separate attempts.

There isn’t materially a better more talented top 6 than this. This is fucking it. This is the best we have to offer.

It’s entirely downhill from here.

Don’t blame the players and tbh don’t even blame the fucking selectors.
