Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v Bangladesh: 3rd ODI
Suggestion for next match: Vusi and Hammy to open, Taylor at 3rd. Opening is clearly not working for him.

Think we are all jumping the gun a bit concerning Taylor, for the last 18 months he has been exeptional at the top of the order and to say he is in bad form is not true as he scored a brillaint century and a 70 in the first test.maehara wrote:Suggestion for next match: Vusi and Hammy to open, Taylor at 3rd. Vusi is looking good again here, just need to build a partnership, being 70/80 for 1/2 after 20 overs would be a fantastic effort

Aesthetically, Vusi is beautiful to watch. Can I say that about another man?
As for Taylor though, I'd keep in the opening slot, he's done it successfully before. I also like that we have Masakadza as insurance if either Taylor or Vusi fall too early.

Not saying drop him, just move him. He batted at 3rd in the Test anyway, which kinda supports the suggestion that he's more comfortable there.zimfan1 wrote:Think we are all jumping the gun a bit concerning Taylor, for the last 18 months he has been exeptional at the top of the order and to say he is in bad form is not true as he scored a brillaint century and a 70 in the first test.maehara wrote:Suggestion for next match: Vusi and Hammy to open, Taylor at 3rd. The same old pull shot does Vusi in to the same bowler ...he needs to shelf it already...did say we will see what the middle order is made of and may shed some light on the debates we've had...trying times
