This will end up being a much bigger waste of money than the Chitungwiza Aquatics Centre built to host the 1995 All Africa Games. Of all the poor decisions made to date this is second only to repaying Metro Bank about 20m in interest for a two thousand dollar loan. For shame!!

Well it's third in line. ZC could probably recover a good portion of that money, but theyve all got so much dirt on each other its a stale mate and let sleeping dogs lie.

Essentially the same group of people have made tens of millions, maybe more, vanish into thin air. Thats what these waste of time petitions should actually be about. And how they cannot ever be voted out of office. Ever.

Rangers absolutely sogolized Gladiators. It's just weird that no team has even vaguely given them a game yet, they're all just rolling over. I guess the big clash will eventually be when Knackers, BT, Blessing, Ervine are in that Takaz 1 side.

I don’t see the point of npl if it’s a politically charged two horse race.

As far as I'm aware the players are pretty chilled. Not all, but most. Its ZC that have avoided more than 3-4 whites ever playing in a club or franchise side because what they fear the most has happened. The wasted mismanaged decades are largely being pointed out by disgruntled black fans. The whites as a community have washed their hands many years ago, but for a small handful. Most of my mates dont even know Sri Lanka are here. They all used to be avid cricket supporters. They honestly don't give a shit.

The proof is there for all to see. These other teams are getting absolutely minced by what they perceive to be a white team, but the bulk of the damage has actually been done by Myers and Marumani and assisted by Macheka, Mubayiwa, Jakiel and Hlabangana. They cant call it white, but its the perception. St Johns school has more blacks than whites, but it's a white school.

Then you hear the excuses that there are only about 12 pro whites, but theyre over-represented in the national side.
Imagine if there were 100 of them

I think ZC have finally realised that our domestic cricket is largely the source of all our woes. This Sogo side has highlighted how bad the standard of cricket is here. A full strength Sogo side will absolutely obliterate the rest of Zim XI. They could be our national side, barring Blessing.

What remains to be seen is if other clubs can raise their game. I mean the great Takashinga have resorted to importing whites and Pakistanis. Its laughable. Theyve got the pick of nearly every pro black cricketer, all the u19's, all the Chigumbura academies and they wont win a game against Sogo. Is that in ZC's interests to show up the mess that's been made? So far they've tolerated them but it stings like an STD.
The problem is if you raise the bar and nobody matches it then everyone gets really sad and tries to think of a way of dragging it back down....won't take long..
They'd have to find guys willing to practice, coaches willing to coach (if they knew how), managers willing to manage, it's a big ask.

There's more skin in the game when Takashinga play Sogo than in a franchise final. The NPL in general is a waste of time and the franchise is probably worse. If they were serious they'd rethink and rejig the whole thing. Mangongo tried with Mountaineers but got sacked by Mawoza, but they should perhaps revisit a couple of things. Brent and Viljoen have also caused some stress, they're a light year ahead of any franchise coaching/management team, nobody comes close to them in franchise.

They need to make these meaningless franchise sides semi-autonomous. Give them a budget and let them get on with it.
Make Mawoza the Eagles manager and give him 200k to manage the side. They need to make Sogo a franchise. Give them a quarter of the budget because none will go missing.
You have to give the stalwarts some sweets.
If I want to sack a guy in my business I put him in charge of the petty cash, its never taken longer than a week

I see theyve announced a play-off thing after the league finishes between Taka, Sogo and the Zim U-19’s.

The U19’s will get destroyed

Looks like Top 4 plus u19. Called the Champions league.
Gives Takaz another bite of the cherry. If they lose there will be another called the World Series.
