Almost as if there was a back stop had we lost and a white player had had a bad day.

Weird that those guys have so much love for BT, Williams, Cremer and Ervine but hate anyone who played for the national side before 2004.

They dont love Burl, Evans, Campbell or Welch with quite the same intensity
Anyone who's been in the system for that long will know how it works, mirror what they're asking and the love affair continues.
I think the only guy that really speaks his mind is Williams.

Burl has always been left alone to be fair, odd bloke but harmless.

Think they are fairly neutral on Campbell but obviously hate his dad. Jonno is a good guy so hard to hate.

The hatred for Welch has calmed down a bit but they hate Evans, to be fair Evans is a bit of a dick, met him a few times and easy to see how he rubs people up the wrong way. He probably just isn't aware how he comes across.

So depressing though, apart from maybe Pakistan the shit that the players have to put up with is unmatched.

Told you guys. Williams disappeared the day before the qualifiers when the anti-doping guys flew in. Hid from them and went AWOL, and refused a test. ZC suspended him per protocol.

I hope he’s okay. I mean it’s not a surprise to anyone really.

I just hope it isn’t the last we see of him.

He has been on something for most of his career, his jaw lately was bouncing like a monster truck, it’s horrible for him and his family. I personally had my own addiction problems and I feel for him big time, he needs support and love. The fact he had to hide it from his family and friends shows how much pain he is / was in. It’s a horrible place to be and the road ahead should not have cricket involved. He’s my top 3 fav player of all time, he’s probably our best player still, but I cannot be selfish and want him back in the side for my entertainment. He is a father, a son, a husband and a human being before anything, best of luck willo if you ever read this, sending nothing but love your way for you and your family. I hope you find the peace you deserve.

We’ve all been there  probably  To turn up and bash out 50 after 50 in that condition is testament to the kind of guy he is. Heroic in its own way.

Not a good look at all. I think the ICC rules state that you are sanctioned if you miss 3 tests within a year. He has had a great career, let's hope it doesn't end like this.

Something always goes wrong for us. It's been like this for 20 years. Just as we finally get to a stage where we have a decent batting lineup. This might be the first time in decades where it's genuinely hard for a newcomer to make that top 7 but now we might have lost our best batsman.
