Brilliant catch from Moores. Catch of the tournament so far.

I see on X Jonty is saying 9 of our players will still be eligible next WC.
What if theyre once again not our 9 best players?
There's absolutely no guarantee they'll improve either. What it does signal is that regardless of the outcome this WC theyre soldiering on with "the plan."

These Bangladeshi seamers are causing all kinds of problems for England.

Basir is a full on chucker. How is he allowed to bowl?

The ICC regs state that a player must be under 19 on the 1st September, the year before the event. Therefore, for the 2028 World Cup, they must have been born after the 1st September 2008. The only player this applies to is Webster Madhidhi. The Blignaut brothers are the next youngest, born in June 2008.

My first look at the Aussies. Serious batters. This Peake kid is somebody. Wow.
Re: U19 World Cup Jan 2026 | Match 2| Zim vs England
I saw Larry made an interesting comment. He suggested Chimugoro get a Pro 50 game for his franchise.
It shows two things-
These u19 guys are not quite there at franchise level.
As weak as our franchise is, if they pick their best teams there are some decent players and they're not actually easy teams to make on merit.
A kid who's got a shot at senior international cricket should make the move into franchise fairly seamlessly.
This u19 side has actually done ok against the franchise sides, but they've been B sides. A fired up A side is a big step up.
I saw Nate being touted as our next keeper batsman.
Also interesting- implies he's better than Maru, BT, Madande (yes), Taruvinga, Welch Jr, Gumbie, Tsiga.
Taruvinga also gets good press, but personally I think he's limited. I saw him take a catch the other day with one foot over the boundary and claim it. Actually ended up being the difference on DL. No censure from anybody. Times have changed, should have to leave the country.
