One of myers/musekiwa will warm the bench.

If Ngarava returns, I don't think it will be at the expense of Wellington.. & I think the planning is right. Wellington might play a good role against West Indies. Ben Curran still might not make the playing XI .. Raza n co. will not fancy giving Curran his debut in super 8. That can only happen if one of musekiwa/myers fails in the next game.

Had an old account with a few hundred posts, but somehow lost it. The moderating on this forum leaves a lot to be desired.
Anyhow, good to see the lads going hard. Marumani has been immense.
Myers, munyonga and musekiwa are likely going to be exposed at this level, although in fairness to Tony he's had a couple of big moments. Evans is good enough to bat 7.

Not a chance that Ben Curran will play. Brains trust doesn't change the side after losses so not going to happen after 3 victories on the bounce.

Assume Richie will come in if fit for one of the spinners. Spin has been less effective in India compared to Sri Lanka.

Ben Curran has to play. We need all the batting we can get because what worked in Sri Lanka will not work on India pitches.

Munyonga hit a 6 and has turned heads with his fielding. It's small things like that which get you the nodd, so he won't be dropped. Musekiwa they love because he hit a few bombs against Nigeria 3 years ago, so he won't be dropped neither.
I like seeing Ben Curran there as it shows that he's thought highly of, but I'm not screaming and shouting for his inclusion. A nick Welch would have been a better option due to his ability to hit boundaries

Curran is only really an option to open with the Maru/BB being the strongest element of our batting so far. Can't see that changing for a while which will probably mean that BC will have to remain on the sidelines.

Clearly Musekiwa is not up to it so we need to look at other options at 7 but that is something for after the World Cup.

Yea exactly. I don't see Curran playing in this tournament but having him there will be good for his development for sure. He'll be getting exposure to some wonderful facilities and rubbing shoulders with some of the best.

The only thing Curran has in this favour is that he is a lefty. That gives Zimbabwe 3 right and 3 left handed batsmen, but I can't see them bringing him in after 2 wins and a super 8 game for his debut.Its also a lot to ask of him as well. I'm curious to see if Ngarava is fit, who's place he takes. You want a wrist spinner for West Indies and along with Raza and Burl, I dont see how Masakadza keeps his place

I wasn't expecting Zimababwe to qualify, so Im already happy with their performance in the tournament. If they can win a game in the super 8, it will probably be against WI, but so long as they can be competitive in the next 3 games that will more than satisfy me.
