Had a good season, except he was out on 0 and out again on 90.
Pretty sure both Welch's are done. No point in continuing.
Why?
Nick is the current test number 3. One of the most prestige positions a player can have. Just needs a couple of tweaks to get the LBW out of his game.

Matt is young and has plenty of time.

I think the mentality for quite a few guys is that it is national team or nothing. This often coming from guys from well off backgrounds who have the ability and the finances to move elsewhere.

Nick Welch I am sure will continue for a bit but is Matthew prepared to grind it out for 3 or 4 years until he is 26 or 27 to get selected? In theory he should but does he want it enough.

Difficult to compare them to the Campbells who don't have to worry about money and have trust funds to fall back on and can afford to spend 3 or 4 years pushing for national selection.

Ahh Blueberries; a super food in high demand. Fair play to him for seeing a gap in the market. Probably helped by the Chinese importing it onto their own land. Must be taking plenty in

He suffers from having played county and being a white guy  the two attributes that immediately make any player super awesome to the casual fan.

Facts are he couldn’t even keep a contract at the worst county in England.

He’s made a couple of good scores internationally, credit where it’s due. He’s an all or nothing player though, 50s or single digits, nothing in between and he definitely doesn’t fire every time. Absolutely not the type of player who you know will give you a solid 30 every innings.

Guys excuse it saying he gets a bad decision literally every knock

There was a time last year he’d played the same number of games as Gumbie and had worse figures yet guys were calling for Gumbie to be chopped.

If you go down the potential road then you’re doing a same but different version of the Jonty/Zolsky/Nyamhuri potential based selection.

He needs to play the ZC game and hasn’t got off to the best start. He’s probably done but you never can tell with ZC
Has zolsky hacked your account?
Not at all
