Ncube may have gotten 3 wickets against a good NZ batting order, and like Vitori, is 'good' enough to have gotten a Test&ODI 5fer against 'mighty' Bangladesh, but this is TEST cricket! 5 days of putting in the hard yards and getting the job done - against experienced men who make cricket their living and are stars in the game. Is he good enough for it? NO! Rather have guys who will keep it 10/0 in 5, as opposed to 40/0 in 5! Says a lot about the quality of your bowlers. This is ODI stuff, bordering T20 on occasion!

Why on earth is our most experienced bowler being relegated to first or second change each time. Is it for no particular reason that Ncube plays second fiddle to him at the Tuskers on this very ground year after year!!!

In like manner, at the end of the day's play I look forward to you telling me what 'kind' of players our opening bowling attack is.
1st wicket down !!!!!

I am not going to take an overly adverse or positive view of the bowlers on the basis of 1 performance.
A talented batsman but a modest, hardworking character, Stuart Matsikenyeri is the third of three school friends from Churchill Boys High School, Harare to represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. - Cricinfo.

I was just thinking that. What dirt does he have on the selectors?

I'm slowly beginning to be lulled into considering that sort of thing exists, but the inclusion of a Matabele-based player who is Ndebele at that, leads me to believe it's purely down to poor selcetion, poor decision-making by the coaches and a wrong philosophy from those who map the vision of ZC.

:W: If we won't nip one ourselves, then their agression might as well hand us one! Wasn't beaten for pace Zimfan1, the commentators agree McCullum got ahead of himself there!

Caught a glimpse of the reserves earlier - Forster&Mushangwe at pitchside, and the thought 'boys' flashed in my mind, when my thoughts changed to Duffin&Ewing it's clear that what we miss are men in our team!

If you look at the replay he was late on the pull shot, hence being beaten for pace.

And i dont think the Zimbo commentators are ever a great source of reliabilty

Not a lot of decisions Taylor is entrusted to make, and of those few in one he chooses to filed Mpofu of all people in that position! Seriously you have to have captained before in order to be able to avoid making such basic mistakes!
