Some farming lessons for Malcom .

Farming 101

Your livestock are the tail that you need to protect against wolves
such as Vettori .Guard them jealously .
Vultures will also surround yo livestock and they will be circling for any dead meat that
may come of their bats .
Use your tools to yo advantage .

1.Stay patient in your crease even if the single is there for you
2.Watch the bait for the single it is quite deceptive
2.Smack the boundaries to recover the lost dots
3.Take a single on the fifth ball and wait for the next over
4.As your partner becomes confident in later over start taking the single off the 4th ball .
5.Lastly if the man you are protecting wants a two , just send him back

I can't see a draw here unless weather intervenes or NZ goes very cautiously. They have 113 ahead. They can bat for 3 sessions, get us in tomorrow night and have a target of 400+. We could fight out way all the way through Day 5, but it will be a tough ask.

We just have to knock the overconfidence out of them and bowl them out for 140. Win early on Day 5.

Leave Waller alone. If it wasnt for him Zimbabwe would have followed on and they would be batting again now. He did fantasticly well against the new Ball and aquited himself well, Sure the farming was an issue but give credit where credit is due. Its his debut test, Your brain would be convuluted enough trying to bat well for yourself and the team as well as the farming

Great ball by Jarvis! Full, a hint of swing and Guptill's middle stump is gone. :W:

jimbo, taking nothing away from the way Waller played - he was fantastic - he still should have thought twice about taking a single from the first ball of an over, or running one instead of two, etc. It might not have made a great deal of difference in the end, but it might have been worth an extra 20 or 30 runs.

Two more wickets will rattle the Kiwis today .......send Bobby can give us some Queens magic ....

Nice one Jarvis , our strike bowler should be doing that regularly.

Yeah, Waller did great, but he did make some errors. It may not have made that much difference. Ncube might have easily been knocked over by the 6th ball rather than the 5th.

Yeah, and to be fair to Jarvis in the first innings he deserved to get a few more wickets. Maybe today is the day he finally gets those marginal chances go his way. This is what I like about Jarvis, and Vitori too for that matter, they have the speed and variation through the air to be genuine strike bowlers.

I think we have a chance of getting the 20 wickets. NZ may well have a lead of 360-400 by the time we do, but I can see us taking some tomorrow
