Re: [Match Thread] Zimbabwe v New Zealand: Test Match
Once the runs required target is under 100 victory will seem so much closer.

Just 101 of 29 overs. Start penning music for the victory lap Eugeneeugene wrote:Once the runs required target is under 100 victory will seem so much closer.

True that but with Chris Martin and Bracewell left its a technicality...Dr_Situ(ZimFanatic) wrote:Is it going to be the only 13th instance ever in test history when a team lost a match after declaring in 3rd inn?

I think the most important thing is to not loose a wicket in the first hour. Remember that in the last over 15 overs have to be bowled so if we need 65 in 15 overs with wickets in had that is gettable but we dont want to come out agressive and loose an early wicketDr_Situ(ZimFanatic) wrote:Just 101 of 29 overs. I will still be happy with a draw but you never know, as long as we dont loose

Here goes a jinx, to say BT is in form is an understatement he is possesed by a batting spirit.

Not matter what the outcome, today's play will certainly add a bit of spike to the retur series in NZ. I see the test is scheduled for Napier, which has a bit of a reputation as being the best batting wicket in NZ (if I'm not mistaken).

In a way I think this will make our win (I believe we can) all the cleaner no excuses for the Kiwis...surely we must win this....

Haha. I won't start thinking about victory until 1 run is required.
