So we bat down right until number 9 and then if form is anything to go by then vitori can certainly add runs coming off the back of a 71 in his last first class game. Think we are missing one fast bowler though however

5 wicket keepers in a Test team! Is that some sort of record?

There was no way Waller was going to get dropped after his performance in the last Test, so I think it's more of a case of Waller holding on to his spot and Chigumbura not being able to force his way back in. Having said that, I think Chigumbura would have given more balance to the side - having both Chakabva and Mutizwa seems a bit risky to me as it leaves the bowling attack very exposed. Now Cremer has to lead the attack as the most experienced player.

Anyway, this will be a very interesting match. I'm very sad that Price is injured, but I am very excited to see Cremer get a chance to lead the Test bowling attack. He's developed a lot since 2004-05 and I've always maintained that good legspinner is essential for every good Test side.

I dont think Cricinfo is correct abt Chigs being droped. I feel Chigs will probably get a place ahead of Chakabva. The preview probable teams are usualy wrong. If Chigs isnt in i think we are going to be slaughtered.
38.3 Bracewell to Chakabva, 2 runs,
leg side, touch short, worked off
the legs forward of square for a
workman like 50

Big congrats to Masakadza and Mutizwa for there test debuts, particular Mutizwa who has been on quite a journey within the domestic system and good to see that he is getting an oppotunity.

I agree with the decision to leave out Chigumbura as three seemers should be enough on a green wicket, shame about Meth but hopefully these guys can do the business.

Hope everybody is looking forward to five days of sleep deprevation. Who is staying up through the night with me?????

How would Chigumbura prevent us from being slaughtered?

Why is that tool chakabva in over Matsi ? Do we want to lose ?
A talented batsman but a modest, hardworking character, Stuart Matsikenyeri is the third of three school friends from Churchill Boys High School, Harare to represent Zimbabwe in international cricket. - Cricinfo.
