[Match Thread] New Zealand vs Zimbabwe, Only Test
Re: [Match Thread] New Zealand vs Zimbabwe, Only Test
Well some sort of stand needs to be taken, BRM. Last time we lost this bad we stayed out of tests for 6 years. The problem with the magnitude of this loss is just how shattered they are likely to be heading into the ODIs. Hope Price's injury isn't too bad, we are desperately lacking some calm.

Zimbabwe reaches 100/16
Re: [Match Thread] New Zealand vs Zimbabwe, Only Test
Most of us have been fearing the old self destruct. The comeback has been good and one day performances have been reasonable. But we all knew Zim was capable of a real shocker. Even with Flowers etal we had disasters.

But this has even surprised my worst fears.
Re: [Match Thread] New Zealand vs Zimbabwe, Only Test
Oops. That will cost you NZ. Cremer will punish that.
Re: [Match Thread] New Zealand vs Zimbabwe, Only Test
Wonder if Andy Zaltzman will run some stats comedy over this one. Am struggling to find laughs.
Re: [Match Thread] New Zealand vs Zimbabwe, Only Test
Highest test score by Cremer. Watch out NZ.
Re: [Match Thread] New Zealand vs Zimbabwe, Only Test
I think most of us feared this would happen once we left the comfort of Zimbabwe. I just hope their isn't a knee-jerk reaction to this game like withdrawing us from test cricket again.

Highest score for Chakabva. Partnership worth more than the whole first innings.
Re: [Match Thread] New Zealand vs Zimbabwe, Only Test
The only thing I dread more than the inevitable result of this test match is some long essay from hhm which will contain theories about how Rainsford and Panyangara would have won us this match by taking 10 wickets each and scoring double hundreds with the bat.
