And a great catch by Price apparently. A real team effort today
And Taibu, well, maybe being dropped (we assume dropped?) is the wake up call he needed. The way he has been playing recently has been selfish. I don't mind arrogance to a certain extent, but Taibu has to be careful because he's not backing up his self confidence with any performances to write home about.

His al Barakah cup form is continuing then27.1 Cremer to Varaiya, no run, good turn being extracted here by Cremer

Being a legspinner obviously will help Cremer get more turn, although Price gets a surprising amount of spin at times it must be said.
Re: Series thread - Kenya vs Zimbabwe
i emailed cri info to ask about there coverage and asked them to give a shout to our forum this is the response i got
"We have a man at the ground and will do throughout the series.
Keep up the good work at your end. We have an interview with Ozias Bvute in the coming days."

An interview with Ozias Bvute
, how nice ......
Meanwhile, in Mombasa, it's getting very boring, we need to get rid of these 2 before they start getting ideas about scoring runs in the next 4 matches as well.

I wouldn't be surprised if the fielders have fallen asleep by now. How boring to leave Utseya and Dabengwa in the attack for so long, I started watching TV and I come back and they are still bowling
Really Chigumbura and Rainsford, or Cremer, should have been brought back on to clean up the tail.

Re: Series thread - Kenya vs Zimbabwe
I think this is getting a bit silly now and brings the decision making of Utseya back into the spotlight.
It's fair enough giving '2nd string' bowlers like Dabengwa and Masakadza a bowl when you are on top of the opposition but there is a limit to how much confidence you can afford to give away.
Kenya were in big trouble at 93-6 and Utseya has let the advantage go completely, Varaiya had a previous career highest of 10*, he now thinks he can score runs and Kamande looks on course for his 2nd ODI fifty, the other batsman will also be thinking that they will be able to do a lot better in the next four games.
Zim should have been looking to get the biggest possible win in this opening match to lord it over Kenya in the crucial period of games 2, 3 and 4, it's going to be a win but nowhere near as commanding as it could and should have been.

And Dabengwa back to his useless best again
The strike bowlers should have been brought back long ago, I agree Train Driver.

We'll still hammer Kenya, but the 100+ run win that I was hoping for looks in doubt.43.3 Dabengwa to Kamande, 1 run, he slogged that in the air but safe between covers and extra cover
43.2 Dabengwa to Kamande, SIX, flatter on middle and he still manages to scoop it over long-on
43.1 Dabengwa to Kamande, SIX, flatter on leg and smashed to deepmidwicket
43.1 Dabengwa to Varaiya, 2 wides, down the leg
The strike bowlers should have been brought back long ago, I agree Train Driver.

Finally a wicket after complacency setting in. The debutants performed very well & that prompted me to post a new question in Zim photo quiz
