I think, this thread is very useful having a lot of information about Williams,Taylor,Nicolson and much more...Actually,I havent yet completed reading all the posts here.

Zimbabwe 100% will win this match and as we all said Zimbabwe will clean sweep Kenya comprehensively by 3-0.

Kenya was all out for 199 in 48.5 overs.Indeed, the spin attack(Price-Cremer-Utseya) of Zimbabwe is doing very well.Cremer has got 4 wickets today even.I wonder where has he been for the last 4 years. He has made his ODI debute after 4 years and 221 days(probably) of his test debute!

Someone noticed that today Utseya has just bowled 3 overs as Pricey,Cremer and even Dabengwa and Masakadza was also bowling well.I think, though Utseya is the captain of the side,he will have to fight for his place in the test format when Zimbabwe will return in the test arena.Price,Cremer and Utseya played 18,6 and 1 test respectively. Moreover,Dabengwa is also being used at test level.

There are a lot of talks about pace department.Rainsford and Chigumbura has to do the main job.For that Chigumbura has to work hard a lot.I agree Zimbabwean seletors have to find a useful batting allrounder.brmtaylor.com admin has posted the names of 4 possible candidates.Justice Chibhabha is an expensive bowler I think.Better to go with Bradley Staddon, his batting is also very much on the positive side. But a lot will depend in the player's form of Logan Cup.

Today's batting of Zimbabwe, wrong tactics to open with Dabengwa. He should bat at no 7.Vusimuzi Sibanda has failed scoring 1.I amnt so impressed with his form,he is very much inconsistent.Today he is dropped from opening position to one down and I think he will be dropped when Mark Vermeulen will return to the side. It's very unfortunate that Malcolm Waller isnt playing.Matsikenyeri did well scoring 50.

Zimbabwe is 175/3(32.1 Over).Masakadza 68*,Williams 52*.25 runs more needed to win.

Well played Masakadza and Williams and CONGRATULATION ZIMBABWE! :W:

5-0 :)

Shame there's no opportunity for Hamilton get get his ton - 27 runs short now, but only 18 required to win. Maybe against Canada...

OK then, 30 off the last 3 overs and 11 to win from 16 overs.

I suppose it's ok for Hamilton to do something rash now, if he wants to ..... ;)

...and that's that. 203/3, a seven-wicket win and a 5-0 series whitewash. Just once in a while it feels good to be a Zimbabwe fan. :D :D

Just for the record, before the side left for Bangladesh, the ODI rankings looked like this:

Code: Select all

                        Pl Rt
7 Sri Lanka 35 107
8 West Indies 27 91
9 Bangladesh 32 47
10 Ireland 10 19
11 Zimbabwe 22 13
12 Kenya 7 11
They now look like this:

Code: Select all

                        Pl Rt Ch
7 Sri Lanka 41 104 -3
8 West Indies 27 91
9 Bangladesh 38 46 -1
10 Zimbabwe 32 23 +10
11 Ireland 10 19
12 Kenya 12 0 -11
I think we can call that a successful tour?

Really a good result...

I hope Zimbabwe will continue playing like this in the upcoming series too. It's the right time to beat the strong sides like India,Sri Lanka I mean with whom Zimbabwe is going to play in the nearby future.

Yes, a very good display with only a couple of worrying moments, shame that Masakadza was so close to beating his career best 87 but didn't quite manage it.

On the negative side things got away again a bit during that Kenyan 7th wicket stand, Chigumbura won't want to talk about his 27 run over very much and 2-2 after 7 balls.

On the positive side, everything else :D

This looks pretty good to me

I think almost everyone has pretty much played their part in an excellent 5-0 series win.

Roll on the next fixtures, let's see them in action again while they are in this sort of form.
