Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
341. There was a time when people moved from "greener pastures" to Zimbabwe too (Actually that makes Zim the greener pasture by definition. Any way...). Here's one of them, a former first class cricketer who moved to and played for Rhodesia towards the end of his career. Who is he?

That sounds like Sandy Singleton of Worcestershire who met his wife furing WWII in Rhodesia. Is this the man? Any similarities with this picture? I guess the eyes are about right, the chin too ...CrimsonAvenger wrote:A decisive clue: One of the primary reasons for him to turn to Rhodesia - he found his lady love there

Re: Zimbabwe Cricket Photo Quiz
Well, that took a bit of research, which has in turn armed me with more future questions about some other "foreign" players who moved to or turned out for Rhodesia.
342. But for now, here's a more current cricketer who seems to have faded out of franchise cricket but is still around on the Harare club scene. Who is he?

I'll abstain from answering till the first wrong answer (if any), as I was toying with this exact photo as a question for a while...foreignfield wrote:342.
