And probably one of the top order batsmen stuck around for a while too - here's hoping it was Vermeulen.

Re: Series Thread: Zimbabwe 'A' in Namibia
If we were 6/36 the lower order must have done pretty well. Good scores from Garwe or Maruma perhaps?

Re: Series Thread: Zimbabwe 'A' in Namibia
it looks like we i going to win this one 98/8 after 25 overs.
Re: Series Thread: Zimbabwe 'A' in Namibia
looks like going to be good tour 4 wins, three of them against a decent nambia side who i belive will qualify for the world cup
got to give credit to mongongo but i still dont want his a national coach but these results will definitly raise his credentials
stand out performers so far vermulen, coventry and marmura with the bat and manyumwa with the ball hope these guys will be pusing the l;ikes of dabengwa, matsikenyeri and mpofu for national selection soon

Re: Series Thread: Zimbabwe 'A' in Namibia
i think these guys should play more games aganist teams like canada, ireland, kenya, uganda, bermuda and A sides from sri lanka, new zealand ,west indies and bangladesh. Here in the uk, englang A play aganist other A teams almost every month. Teams that refuse to play in zim we should play the in south africa or namibia. I have also noticed the England and bangladesh under19 teams play one day and tests aganist south africa under 19 once in while. Zim should do the same to prepare our young players for the world cup and test matches.

Re: Series Thread: Zimbabwe 'A' in Namibia
Very pleasing tour. The batting was a little collapse prone, although there were some excellent individual efforts. Especially from Maruma, who really seems to be a genuine allrounder these days. The bowling was excellent, by and large. Manyumwa lead the way, and he can't be too far from an international debut...

Yea man thats true, i think we should start to increase fixtures for our "A" side. I was following the England Lions to New Zealand, they did throw in some good perfomances, i reckon they would even be a challenge to our national team. Under 19 tests are the way forward.
