But they'd have to win 3-0 to balance this series. I don't see that happening.

We won in ZIM and not in Bulawayo either! Zim's best shot was at Dhaka on a pitch that negated our spin edge by giving equal advantage to ZIM's superior seamers. I think we probably would have squared the 2011 series as well. Either way, ZIM have a 2-1 edge at home. But we've won in ZIM, firstly. And by a comfortable margin so it wasn't a fluke. We also refused a tour match last time, and none of our players have extensive familiarity with Zim conditions by playing in your domestic leagues.

If we played 3 tests in Bulawayo, we'd most likely win 2-1.
You must remember Krieton Zimbabwe are missing Williams and Utseya the two best spinners in the country whilst you will argue Gazi is also missing I will argue loosing Gazi is a blessing, because it has given Taijul a chance and is a much better bowler then Gazi and same with Jubair ......
Gazi's form has been disappointing so no arguments there. I had high hopes of him but he's a bit one dimensional. Of course he usually bowls on wickets like this but I think Taijul and Jubair have more potential. Utseya is as benign a spinner as they come. Check his ODI strike rate where batsmen take risks. And he isn't higher than Nyumbu on the depth chart, so its not fair to say he's the best Test spinners in Zim. As for Williams, he's just a batsman who bowls a bit. He might get a lot of wickets in ZIM, but he wouldn't run through anyone here. I remember his 7 wicket haul in a DPL game here a couple years ago...4 of his wickets were other Zimbabweans!

At any rate we're missing Taskin, who is by far our best and quickest seamer!

I know how your thinking though. Even after the pasting we got in Harare last year, 335 runs, I still felt we were the more talented if not the better side! The second test proved that, to me at least...143 run comfortable win. In this series, so far, we've just pulled away. 3 wickets at first, and then 160+ runs. If this match has a result, it will be by a margin bigger than the last one which wasn't huge. In that case, Zim will just have progressively done worse as the series wears on.

Hamilton's 50th international wicket if you can believe that.

U obviously didn't watch the Sth Africa Aus tri series .... Williams is a good spinner and getting better much better then Raza or Waller who have taken wickets and Utseya was in career best form imo ....

Mate Harare turns as well so its not as one sided pitch as u make out, the pitches in Zim favour BD more then the BD pitches favour Zim .....

BD have better Batsman but Zim have a better seam attack BD have better spinners but Zim are better fielders .....

Really its pointless arguing who is better but I really think bragging rights are temporary until an away series is won .....

ODIs are different. Batsmen take risks. I'm aware Utseya was in top form...surprised the hell out of me. But one series, nay a couple of matches doesn't turn a 10+ year career around. The pitch was engineered to put AUS/SA in a bind...and it did. We have posters here giving more credit to the curator than Mangongo for the Aus win!!!

Forgot to add the last series in ZIM, Shakib didn't bowl in the first Test. And Tamim missed a Test as well. So we weren't at full strength either. Granted 335 runs is a margin that even 5 players can't cover...

I never said HSC doesn't turn. I saw the turn Nyumbu was getting against SA and thought 'oh oh we could be in trouble in a few weeks'.

I said it turns less than Mt Kilimanjaro when BD plays there. Big difference.

Look at the Dhaka pitch couple weeks back. Good turn, but pace, bounce, and tons of seam movement. Even Taylor acknowledged it. We played in HSC 3 times recently...zero turn in all games. They were good sporting wickets. We got outplayed twice simple as that. Our seamer got support too - Robiul was player of the series - so cant complaining. We were beaten fair and square. Khulna, flat wicket that turned from day 4. Slight advantage for us. This wicket appears the same.
BD have better Batsman but Zim have a better seam attack BD have better spinners but Zim are better fielders .....
Absolutely.

Although I expect our seam attack to surpass ZIM in the coming years as well. Taskin may singlehandedly do it, but we have a few other raw youngsters. Ali Ahmed is one Richard McInnes rates highly and hasn't debuted in any major cricket yet, which is very odd. There's a 17 yo lefty who just popped up named Mehedi Hasan...he played against Zim in the tour game I believe and took 3 wickets on his list A debut last night.
Really its pointless arguing who is better but I really think bragging rights are temporary until an away series is won .....
I believe - and its just a belief - that in a hypothetical 3 test tourn of ZIM, with at least 1 test at Bulawayo we'd win. It would be very close, perhaps evem a drawn series. A true tour would have a number of different venues. You check my recent posts, I've been pretty spot on with my assessments on the current series.

Anyways good discussion in this budding rivalry. Zim have clawed back nicely in this game!
